Robert E. Midkiff SHADE - Robert E. (Bob) Midkiff, 69, of Shade, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 at his home after an extended illness. Born Aug. 21, 1937 in Ranger, WV, h e was the son of the late Willard Clarence and Bessie Mae Ferguson Midkiff. He retired from International Harvester Trucking Company of Springfield, Ohio as a painter and tow truck driver. He attended Shade United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beverly A. (Becky) Midkiff; three sons, Gerald Lee (Mickey) Midkiff of Shade, Joseph Jay (Betty) Midkiff of Louden, TN, Andrew Lyn (Andy) Midkiff of the home; five grandchildren, Bobby (Brenda) Midkiff, Denny (April) Midkiff, Jennifer (James) Rood, Joseph Midkiff II, Amanda Midkiff; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Ona May (Ray) Elliot, Maxine (Bill) Barringer; two brothers, Curley (Clara) Midkiff, Tom (Linda) Midkiff; and many nieces and nephews and his dog Polly. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Vanessa Midkiff; two sisters, Odessa Walsh, Estelle Moore; four brothers, Ellis, Elmer, Willis and Willard Jr. Midkiff. Services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm at Shade United Methodist Church with Rev.s Paul Van Horn and Dean Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery after which everyone is invited back to the church for a meal and fellowship. Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Sat. 4 to 7:30 pm.
