THE PLAINS - Matthew Allan Berry, 21, of The Plains, went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 10, 2011 at his home. Born December 28, 1989 in Athens, he was the son of Dean Allan and Sharon Lee Cox Berry of The Plains. He was a 2008 graduate of ATHENS High School and attended Hocking College. He was employed with Pike Electric and was a member of The Plains United Methodist Church. Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Kyle Berry; maternal grandparents, Bill and Joan Cox of Nelsonville; aunts and uncles, Patsy and David Clark of Laura, Steve and Debbie Cox of Nelsonville, Donna and John Conner of Elliston, VA, Diana Berry and Steve Marshall of Decatur, GA; Cousins, Jacci Clark, Becky Gerity, Kelly Cox, Casey Cox, Brooklynn Gerity, Bianca Gerity; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harvey and Mildred Berry. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Harbarger officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Plains United Methodist Church, 3 North Plains Road, The Plains, Ohio 45780.
