THE PLAINS - Eleanor J. Hawk, 87, of The Plains died Friday evening, December 9, 2011 at her residence. Born February 2, 1924 in the State of Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Antonio L. and Mary A. Figureida. She attended the New Life Assemblies of God Church in Athens, and enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus Christ in her ministry towards others. She is survived by a daughter, Norma (Leo) Legere of Massachusetts; grandson, Charles (Louisa) Legere of California; great grandson Leon Legere of California; a sister, Laura Hughlitt of Arizona; brother, Edward (Ruth) Figureida of Rhode Island; a brother-in-law, Richard Hawk of Shelby; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Hawk, and several brothers and sisters. Services will be Friday at Noon at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Foster officiating. Burial will be at Grahams Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
