Muriel C. Williams, 84, long-time resident of ATHENS and Princeton, WV, died on February 18, 2012 at her home in The Plains, OH. Born in Paris, TN to Dewey G. and Lillie Pierce Clary, she was a retired elementary school teacher who taught in the Mercer County, WV schools for 37 years. She served for many years as a volunteer at the Princeton Community Hospital and was an avid reader. She is survived by her sister Dell Keepers of Columbia, MO, three daughters and their spouses, Cheryl Williams and James Davidson of Arlington, VA, Vicki and Jared Butcher of Athens, OH, and Debra and Dave Herter of Princeton, WV, two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Williams, and her sister Marjorie Herndon.
