ATHENS—Anne J. Vrabel, 87, of Athens, died Sunday evening, December 13, 2015. Born September 11, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Anton Salak and Josephine Beran. She was a proud member of the Christ the King Catholic Church and also the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Maple Heights, Ohio. She was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She is survived by her two children, Albert (Linda) Vrabel of Salt Lake City, Utah and JoAnne Vrabel of Athens, two grandchildren, Becca Vrabel and Alan Vrabel, and seven nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vrabel, and sister, Rosemarie Zako. Services will be Friday at 9:00AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Moore officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio. You may call on the family on Thursday from 6-8PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home.
