Dorothy F. Melville

COOLVILLE – Dorothy Melville, 77, of Coolville, passed away late Friday evening, May 6, 2016 at her son’s home following a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her children. Dorothy was born November 2, 1938 in Stewart where she was raised by her parents, the late Ibra “Spike” Boyer and Anna Graham Boyer. She was a graduate of Rome Canaan High School. She is survived by her seven children, Edward (Moriha) Buck, John (Deborah) Melville, James (Carolyn) Melville, Joe (Ann) Melville, Jerri Melville Daniels, Marjorie (Michael) Waybright, Paul Melville; 16 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five siblings, Wilbur Boyer, Donald Boyer, Darlean Boyer Welch, Leon Boyer, and Kathy Boyer McVey. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of many years, John W. “Mel” Melville; five siblings, Ivan James Boyer, Ibra Dane Boyer, John W. Boyer, Shirley Boyer king, Margaret Boyer Cooper; a grandson, Eric Melville; and a son-in-law, Donald Floyd. Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wyers Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. .
