HOCKINGPORT—Betty J. Murrey, 91, of Hockingport, OH, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Hickory Creek of Athens.
She was born Sept. 27, 1930, in Sutton, WV, daughter of the late Roy William and Sylvia Richards Rose. Betty was a member of the Vanderhoof Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Roger Sams; daughter, Donna and John Clark; 3 grandchildren, Keisha, Dewayne and Jeremiah; 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale Sams; second husband, Eddie Murrey; a brother and sister.
Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5-7 P.M. at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
There will be no funeral service.
