Boyd Carl Sidwell

COOLVILLE – Boyd Carl “Windy” Sidwell, 90, of Coolville, OH, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, in Parkersburg, WV.

Born on March 7, 1936, in Munday, WV, he is the son of the late Harley and Julia (Jones) Sidwell. Boyd was a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean War, and later retired from Troy Township. In his free time, he loved to visit with people on his front porch and have a beer.

Boyd is survived by his son, Bud (Deb) Sidwell; three granddaughters, Lacey (Jeremy) Holland, Tracey (Tyler) Goodfellow, and Stacey (Ryan) Roberts; several great grandchildren; and several other loving friends and family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Sidwell; two brothers, Ernest and Willie Sidwell; and two sisters, Madeline Dawson and Alma Stoops.

Military graveside services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 25, at the Troy Baptist Church Cemetery in Coolville, OH.
