Carol Hart

Millfield - Carol Hart, 82, of Athens, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at her residence.

Born November 17, 1943, in Athens, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Letha Scott Heightland.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Betty (Greg Smith) Smith and Lisa Hart; three sons, James (Tammy) Hart, Larry (Lisa) Hart and Michael (Brittany) Hart; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and one sister, Kathleen (Curtis) Rutter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hart in 1994; one daughter, Rebecca Hart; two granddaughters, Carrie and Amy Smith; four brothers, Richard, David, Floyd and Bob and one son-in-law, William Estep.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ehwfh.com. Services have been entrusted with the Hughes Funeral Home in Athens.
