Carol Sue Rockhold

COOLVILLE – Carol Sue Rockhold, 76, of Coolville, OH, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her friends and family.

Born on September 21, 1948, in Craigsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Beulah Williams Stewart. She was a 1966 graduate of Parkersburg High School. Carol loved lottery tickets, bingo, mowing, the gun club and the Belpre Senior Center, but her favorite thing of all was her family.

Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Denzil, Charlie, Jerry, Randy, Arden and Ken Stewart; 1 sister, Robin Basham; 2 grandsons, Derek Rockhold and James Vannest; 1 granddaughter, Julie Benge; and 1 great granddaughter, Justina Benge.

She was survived by the love of her life, Gary Jackson; 1 brother, Jerry Stewart; children, Deanna (Jeff) Johnson, Kenny (Michelle) Rockhold, Kathy (Bill) Smith, Tony (Jo) Rockhold, Ryan (Aleasha) Rockhold, Teresa (Kevin) Maurath, Ruby Jackson and her dog, Cricket; and 14 grandchildren, Tiffany (Ash) O’Brien, Jacqueline (Travis) Murrey, Quinton Rockhold, Tara Glover, Sam (Britney) Rucker, Brooke Vannest, Taylynn (Ryan) Rockhold, Zachary Rockhold, Tyler Rockhold, Timothy Whalen, Jules Whittenburg, Kennadi (Bruce) Rockhold, Tessa (Cole) Rockhold, Brady (Mya) Rockhold; 15 great grandchildren, Alexis, Cali, and Madysen O’Brien, Shaylyn (Savannah) Rockhold, Nevaeh (Brodie) Tait, Taleeah & Brooklyn Rockhold, Kaylynn, Kamryn & Abigail Murrey, Sadie Rockhold, Liam Glover, Makenna & Ava Rucker, and Layton Vannest; 1 great great grandson, Sladen Tait; two special friends, Patty and Tom who were there for her through everything, and many more close friends.

The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out and helped in taking care of her.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 2PM at the White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Melissa Dailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery in Hockingport, OH. The family will be accepting friends from 11AM until the time of the service.
