Charles E. Hoisington

ATHENS—Charles E. Hoisington, 75, of Athens, OH, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at his residence. He was born Sept. 17, 1948, in Painesville, OH, son of the late Donald and Catherine Carpenter Hoisington. Charles was a retired 20 year Army Veteran, retiring as a Kentucky Colonel. He was a lover of Conns Potato Chips and Spam. He is survived by a son, Charles Hoisington; 4 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sarah Doty and Mary Beth Turner; 7 nieces, Christy, Jenni, Megan, Dianna, Tracy, Carrie and Kellie; 2 nephews, Dennis and Jason; several great nieces and great nephews and a special friend, Kenny Kerr, Army still beats Navy and Marines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Ray and a niece, Wendy. The family would like to say a special thank you to Nurses Kara and Jessica and the rest of the staff at Ohio Health Hospice for the wonderful care given to Charles.
