Cheryl Diane Metcalf

GUYSVILLE—Cheryl Diane Butcher Metcalf, 82, of Guysville, OH, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Darst Private House in Pomeroy, OH, surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Athens, OH, daughter of the late Blaine and Helen Sovel Butcher. Cheryl was a loving woman that was stern and opinionated. She enjoyed yard work and her flowers but she lived for taking care of her family.

She is survived by 2 children, Brenda (Ernest) Stone and Doug Metcalf; several grandsons and granddaughters, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Butcher; 2 sisters, Nancy (John) Ward and Teresa (Randy) Rasmussen and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Metcalf; son, Jeff Metcalf; granddaughter, Tiffany Dawn; great-granddaughter, Taylor and her unborn child and a brother, Bill Butcher.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
