Athens - Clarence Edward Dixon Jr, 72, of Athens, died unexpectedly, Friday, August 28, 2026, at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens.

Born October 24, 1953, in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence Edward and Jo Bader Dixon Sr. Clarence worked for many years in the fabricating field as a machinist.

He is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Dixon; eight siblings, Geraldine Tenney, Rob Dixon, Rita Vititoe, Sheela Nelson, Darlene Dixon, Rhonda Hannafius, Connie Goetz, and Stevie Wiseman; three grandchildren, Brittany Caudill, Tabitha Gardner and Casey Porter and his significant other, Melissa Riley.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-five years, Nancy Mount Dixon.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family in Florida.
