Donna M. Creighton

Donna M. Creighton, 87 of The Plains, passed away peacefully Friday, February 6, 2026 surrounded by family. Born January 30, 1939 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Audrey Lonas Minerd. 

Donna had many passions throughout her life including playing bingo, gambling, and attending flea markets. She often attended her baptist church in the Columbus, OH area and never missed an Ohio State Buckeyes game or NASCAR race. Her grandchildren brought her true joy and she loved to bake them sweets. She was also a lover of all animals, especially her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Lee T. Creighton; children, Lynn Wilson, Vern France, Michael (Kylena) France; stepson, Jason (Wissy) Hoffman; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gary (Peg) Minerd.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle France; her second husband, Roy Hoffman; son, Greg France; daughter, Tina Marie France; grandchildren, Tommy Reasoner, Robert France; brothers, Roger Minerd, Charles Minerd, Eddie Minerd, Larry Minerd, Dick Minerd, Junior Minerd; and sisters, Shirley Minerd, Jean Beal.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 2 PM. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
