George Michael Collins

George Michael Collins, 75, born July 12, 1940, passed away at his home Dec. 18, 2015 in Reedsville, Ohio.
He was the son of the late Gordon Hildreth and Cecilia Elizabeth Kinnen Collins.
He was a 1958 graduate of Eastern High School. He was employed for 19 years at The Ohio Valley Mfg. Corp. in Tuppers Plains, OH, 16 years as The Meigs County Treasurer and 15 years as Assistant Deputy Director and Deputy Director of District 10 ODOT in Marietta, OH, from where he retired. He farmed for 50 years and also had Collins Show Cattle.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Jo Cole Collins; one daughter, Cathy Ferguson of Mason, WV; two sons, Michael (Alvena) Collins of Chester, OH and John (Melissa) Collins of Reedsville, OH; one grandson; six granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Edwards; two brothers, Larry Collins and Charles Collins and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Hildreth and Cecilia Elizabeth Collins; a brother, Gerald and uncles and cousins.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
