Howard Alan Chapman

COOLVILLE—Howard Alan Chapman, 79, of Coolville, OH, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at his residence.

He was born March 14, 1947, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Howard E. and Maxine Valentine Chapman. Alan was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by a son, Brandon and Patty Chapman; 8 grandchildren, McKenzie Chapman, Alexei Chapman, Hunter Chapman, Melissa (Brian) Geddis, Andrew Groves, Brayden Hall, Katie Hagerich and E.J. Hagerich; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Barry (Donna) Chapman and Mark (Donna) Chapman; 3 sisters, Beverly (Jerry) Murphy, Katen (Emmitt) Furner and Tammy (Bob) Coe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Chapman Hagerich.

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M., Thursday, May 21, 2026, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Bob Coe officiating. Burial will follow in the Coolville Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, from 2 P.M. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Alan.
