Hunter B. Forrider, 16, of Washington, WV, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at his residence.
Born on April 23, 2009, in Parkersburg, WV, he is the son of Natasha (Jones) Heiss and Josh Forrider.
Hunter was a 10th grader at West Virginia Virtual Academy, an avid dirt track racing fan – especially watching his favorite driver, Freddie Carpenter; hunting; game nights with his sister Kiley, who he was inseparable with; and playing video games.
Hunter was survived by his mother, Natasha (Jarrod) Heiss; father, Joshua (Megan) Forrider; one sister, Kiley Forrider; one brother, Kasen Forrider; maternal grandparents, Teresa (Tim) Holsinger and Jerry (Barbara) Jones; paternal grandparents, Blake (Michele) Forrider and Dea (Bob) Grim; maternal great grandmother, Sharon Smith; paternal great grandmother, Edna Forrider; several aunts, uncles and cousins; life-long friends, the Ritchie family; and many bonus family members that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandfathers, Richard Smith and Gerald Jones; paternal grandfather, Dutch Forrider; and paternal grandmother, Lucille Kelley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Rick Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in the Waterford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
