Jennifer Lynn Lowry

ATHENS—Jennifer Lynn Lowry, 52, of Athens, OH, was called home to be with God on July 11th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, she still managed to display incredible strength and grace while also inspiring others throughout her daily life to be strong and fierce.

Jennifer was born on August 15th, 1973, to the late Maxine and Carlos Lowry at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio. She was a 1991 graduate of Athens High School and Tri County Vocational School, where she studied Cosmetology. Jennifer was truly loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her boyfriend of 6 years, Danny Starett of Athens; her daughter, Maggie Allen of Circleville; sisters, Angie (Randy) Hooper of Athens and Kayla Lowry of Lancaster; brother, Paul (Crystal) Lowry of The Plains; nephews, DJ Willis of Chauncey, Tyler (Summer) Willis of Kentucky, Frankie Lowry of The Plains and Corbin Lowry of The Plains; nieces, Natasha (Ben) Willis of Nelsonville, Makaylee (Mickey) West of The Plains and Reagan Hooper of Athens; great nieces and nephews, Braden, Mason, Brantlee, Bentlee, Kennedi, Arla. Cheyanne and Gracelynn; many cousins; an aunt, Ellen Carr of Millfield; an uncle, Ronnie Clark of The Plains and her best friend, Kimberly Martin of Shade.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos “Snook” Lowry II and a niece, Ashley Lowry.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio.
