Jessie Eugene Zimmerman

ATHENS—Jessie Eugene Zimmerman, 85, of Athens, OH, passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, OH.

He was born March 8, 1941, in Stewart, OH, son of the late John L. and Sylvia Sutton Zimmerman. Jessie was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a retired guardrail and steel worker.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Ralph and Dorothy Zimmerman of Athens, OH and John Zimmerman of Belpre, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Bill, Leonard, Lawrence, Larry and Roger Zimmerman.

Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH. Burial will follow in the Stewart Cemetery in Stewart, OH, where military services will be conducted.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, from 11 A.M. until time of the service.
