Jimmy Lee Barnhart, Sr.

ATHENS – Jimmy Lee Barnhart, Sr., 44, of Athens, died unexpectedly Friday, February 18, 2022 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

Born May 12, 1977 in Athens, he was the son of Betty Lee Barnhart and the late Jimmy Elwood Brown.

He was a graduate of Alexander High School and was known to love anyone he met. He was loving father, son and brother.

Besides his mother, he is survived by three children, Jimmy Lee, Jayley, and Claudia Barnhart; four grandchildren; a brother, Paul Barnhart; a sister, Melinda Barnhart; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kenda Phelps; and a niece, Jamie Lynn.

A memorial service will be 1PM on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with William Simerly officiating.
