Jimmy Ross Deeter

Pomeroy – Jimmy Ross Deeter, 85, of Pomeroy, OH, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Columbus, OH.

Born on January 6, 1941, in Reedsville, OH, he is the son of the late Freda Hill. Jimmy was an Air Force Veteran and later worked as an electrician for AT&T where he later retired.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Dixie Deeter; daughter, Rosalie (Dana) Ireland; son, Jimmy Deeter Jr; two grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Ireland and Marianne Ireland; and 6 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Deeter, and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00am at Weatherby Cemetery.
