POMEROY – John “Philip” Follrod, 79, of Pomeroy, OH, passed away on June 23, 2025, at his residence.
Born December 7, 1945, he was the son of the late Errol “Jack” and Francis “Philomene” (Killinger) Follrod. Philip was a 1963 graduate of Pomeroy High School and retired from the United Auto Workers after more than 30 years of service. He was a former member of the Pomeroy Eagles, loved playing the lottery, and was a dedicated donor to St. Jude and the veterans.
Philip is survived by his son, John David Follrod; daughter, Gina Follrod; 5 grandchildren, Bethany, Ashli, Jessica, Alicia, and Kelsey; 5 great grandchildren, Atticus, Katelyn, Kylie, Landon, and Beau; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Danny Follrod; two sisters, JoEllen Roush and Kay (Terry) Fulks; one niece, Kim Follrod; and one nephew, Darin Roush.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Follrod.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
