John Hensley

REEDSVILLE—John Hensley, 86, of Reedsville, OH, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Arcadia Nursing Center in Coolville, OH.

He was born Dec. 14, 1939, in Long Bottom, OH, son of the late George and Stella Triplett Hensley. John was a retired U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Coolville Masonic Lodge and a retired Union Carpenter. John was a loving father and grandfather and deeply loved his family.

He is survived by 2 sons, Matt (Edna) Hensley, Brent (Courtney) Hensley; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a brother, Henry (Beverly) Hensley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Fields Hensley; 2 sons, Charles Hensley and Paul Hensley; 2 grandchildren, Cynthia and Bliss; 2 brothers, George Hensley and Robert Hensley and a sister Mary Evans.

A military graveside service will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Sandhill Cemetery in Long Bottom, OH.

Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
