Johny Pridemore

Pomeroy - Johny Pridemore, 71, of Pomeroy, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Holzer in Gallipolis.

Born May 10, 1954, in Seacoal, WV, he was the son of the late Delbert and Annetta Adams Pridemore.  Johny spent his childhood in the Cleveland area which instilled his lifelong fandom of the Cleveland Browns.  Johny would go on to join the United States Army.  He spent most of his life in the trucking industry performing every duty imaginable.  In his free time,  he had a passion for fishing and also enjoyed pheasant hunting.

He is survived by one daughter, Josie (Rick) Czerwinski; one son, John Pridemore; one granddaughter, Emma and two brothers, Joe and Ronald “Bud”.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ron and Rick; three sisters, Riva, Christine and Debbie.

Johny’s wishes were to be cremated.  There will be services held at a later date at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy.  Friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook at ehwfh.com.
