CUTLER—Joseph Wade Coen, 74, of Cutler, OH, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Frost, OH, son of the late Kenneth and Bessie Lonas Coen. He was retired from the Athens County Engineers Office. He was an avid race fan, especially dirt track, and worked at Skyline Speedway as a race track official for 30 plus years.
He is survived by a son, Joey and Shawnna Coen; 4 grandchildren, Kaylie (Scott) Shumar, Brady Coen, Wyatt Jarvis and Waylon Jarvis; one great-grandchild, Hadley Shumar; 2 brothers, Pearl Coen and Daniel Coen; 4 sisters, Eva Mae Llewellyn, Gladys Kearns, Virginia Chutes and Linda Powell and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Welch Coen; 6 brothers, Edward, Francis, Leo, Ralph, Robert and Earl and a sister, Bernice.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor Ron Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, from 11 A.M. until time of service.
