Juanita "Granny" Douglas

STEWART – Juanita “Granny” Douglas, 94, of Stewart died Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born November 15, 1925 in Chauncey, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Jessie Tittle Hart.

She was retired from The Athens Messenger and was a member of The Pocohontas. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two children, Ella Crum, Sam (Kathy) Douglas; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 5 siblings, Harold Hart, Floyd Hart Jr., Joe Hart, Wilma Douglas, Carol Frazee; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Paul, three children, George Douglas, Frances Crum, Paula Douglas;  a granddaughter; six siblings, James, Willard, John, Fred, Velma Hart, and Grace McKibben.

Private gravesides services will be held at the convenience of the family at Hilltop Cemetery with John Brice officiating. Arrangements are by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home where friends and family may leave a message of sympathy or sign the online guestbook at www.hughesmoquinfuneralhome.com.
