Laura Cornwell
WELLINGTON-- Laura Cornwell, 95, of Wellington, FL, passed away Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Wellington Regional Hospital.
She was born July 4, 1930, in Letart Falls, OH, daughter of the late Ed and Caroline Barrett Miller. Laura was a retired RN, working many years in Gallipolis, OH. Later she moved to Florida, where she worked as an RN at different clinics. She was a giving person and an extremely hard worker. She volunteered to take her grandchildren to the YMCA, where she served as a camp nurse. Laura loved dancing, cooking and her dogs. She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren and taking them to their sporting activities. She really loved her grandchildren and would do anything for them. She was more like a mother than a grandmother to them.
Laura is survived by a son, Charles E. and Elena Wildermuth; a granddaughter, Laura “Teddy” Wildermuth and a grandson, Theodore Wildermuth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore C. Wildermuth; second husband, Robert L. Cornwell; 2 brothers, Clarence Miller and Charles Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Letart Falls Cemetery Chapel, with Pastor Rick Bourne officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy, OH.
