Lauren Smith

 PORTSMOUTH—Lauren Smith, 34, of Portsmouth, OH, passed away Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth. She was born Nov 11, 1988, in Athens, OH, daughter of Ron Smith and Shari Gillette Gillispie.

In addition to her parents, Lauren is survived by her son, Logan Simmons; brother, Zeke Smith; stepfather, Allen Gillispie and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cecil and Louise Gillette; paternal grandfather, Cecil Smith and paternal grandmother, Betty Dickens.

Visitation will be held Sunday, from 12-2 P.M., at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens, OH.
