Lori R Engle

Pomeroy - Lori R. Engle, 54, of Pomeroy, died Saturday, April 11, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Born November 30, 1971, in Gallipolis, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Virginia Fife Engle. Lori attended Meigs High School and her biggest joy in life was being a grandma and Nan Nan. She enjoyed a cold Mountain Dew, shopping and going to yard sales. She was known to be a collector of many things…especially jewelry, rings and pocketbooks. Her grandchildren were her life.

She is survived by one daughter, Ashley Engle (Arthur Writeser); one son, Jacob Braley; seven grandchildren, Mariah, Keanan, Jenna, Kinley, Jameson, Lilly, and Isabella; one great granddaughter, Willow; two brothers, Shane (Mary) Engle and Pete (Kourtney) Engle; two sisters, Jamie Pennington and Sarah (Chris) Runyon;several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Tina Kloes.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death a close friend, Cindy Staats.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy with John Swanson officiating. Burial will be in the Rocksprings Cemetery in Pomeroy. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service. A meal will follow the service at the Ewing Family Center. All are welcome to enjoy food and fellowship. The family would like to express their thanks to Amedisys Hospice and nurses Diz and Karissa for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Silver Run Baptist Church, 28601 Silver Run Road, Middleport, Ohio 45760.
