Manning "Duke" Marcinko

REEDSVILLE—Manning “Duke” Marcinko, 88, of Reedsville, OH, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 23, 1937, in Long Bottom, OH, son of the late Charles and Virgie Bailey Marcinko. Duke was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from General Motors

. Before his extended illness, he enjoyed traveling and supporting Eastern High School Basketball and Volleyball team. Though his illness kept him home bound, he still enjoyed watching college football and basketball. He loved his family and his legacy will live on through his generosity for years to come.

Duke is survived by his sister, Georgianna Trusell and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Gloria Hood Marcinko; sisters, Mary and Rose; brothers, Charles, Bernard, Eugene, Robert and Tom.

Mass services will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Porterfield, OH, with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Loretta Cemetery, where military services will be conducted.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M., at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
