Mary Rose

Racine - Mary Rose, 83, of Racine, died Sunday December 14, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio.

Born December 23, 1941, on Owl Hollow Road in Long Bottom, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Mary Justice Watson. Mary was a graduate of Southern High School and loved attending church. She was a lifelong homemaker who loved all her kids. She had a huge heart, loved everyone and never met a stranger.

She is survived by daughters, Sherry Jeng, Debra Rose, Teena Rose, Sara (Danny) McDonald, Rita Bell, Faith Rose (Jacob Fussner), Crystal (Rocky) Kearns, Joy (Michael) St. Clair, and Christina Rose (Carl Wilson); sons, Harold (Chrystle) Rose Jr, David Rose, Jock (Stephanie) Rose, Roy Rose (Samantha): many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley Watson and Marion Watson; one sister, Sharlene Foreman and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold Eugene Rose Sr; three daughters, Barbara Birtcher, Crista Rose and Lisa Rose; one sister, Opal Conger and two brothers, Ricky Watson and Terry Watson.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy with John Swanson officiating, Burial will be in the Gilmore Cemetery in Pomeroy. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM till the time of service. Food and fellowship will follow the services at the Ewing Family Center, all are welcome.
