Mary Elizabeth Smith

ATHENS — Mary Elizabeth Smith, 55 of Athens, passed away Sunday evening, June 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. Born November 3, 1964 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Jack Smith and Bertha Hartsock Davis.

Mary had a passion for being outdoors and loved animals. She would often go root, mushroom, or deer hunting and loved tending to her garden and flowers.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Jack Smith; brothers, John Smith, of Athens, Bill Smith, of Pomeroy, Jack Smith, of Columbus, Jay Smith, of Millfield; sister, Linda (Allen) Zeigler, of Albany; and several nieces and nephews.
