REEDSVILLE—Melvin W. Reed, 60, of Reedsville, OH, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 8, 1963, in Parkersburg, WV, son of JoAnn Ice Reed and the late Melvin C. Reed. Mel was an avid hunter, fisherman and slot car collector. He retired from North West Pipe.
In addition to his mother, Joann, he is survived by 2 sons, Jeremy and Stacy Reed and Jason and Amanda Reed; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kailey, Ethan, Micah, Georgia, Jason Jr., Kelsey, Trista, Hunter, Hayden; great-grandson, Maverick Morrison; fiancée, Lisa and her children, Aimee Watson and David Roush and 2 grandsons, Gabriel Watson and Rocky Roush; 3 brothers, Clair and Lisa Reed, Perry Reed and Kenny Reed; 2 sisters, Teresa and Brian Causey and Anita and Russell Lipps and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with James Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Eden Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
