Micah Kenneth Nimmer

Micah Kenneth Nimmer was born and passed on April 2, 2026 at O’Bleness Hospital. Micah was born to Reggie and Sophia (Hower) Nimmer and was welcomed to the world with an abundance of love. For the few moments he was here, Micah made an insurmountable impact on the lives of his parents and extended family. A gathering of Micah’s bright life will take place at Hughes Funeral Home in Athens, OH at 4pm on April 10th.

Born in Athens, Ohio, Micah is described as his parents’ perfect baby boy. His notable length gave strong implication he would have had his father’s height. His cute nose was already beautifully shaped to take in the scent of the blooming spring flowers. 

Micah will be remembered for the instant love he was given when he entered this world. Reggie and Sophia were excited to welcome Micah as their first child and looked forward to creating loving memories to forever cherish. The Nimmer’s were excited to read beloved childhood books while snuggled up on the couch with Micah. They looked forward to continue family traditions and love of the outdoors through camping, hiking and kayaking. Micah would have been an adventurer with his mother’s stubborn determination to tackle any challenge. His beloved dogs, Echo and Osa, would have showered Micah with endless affection and face kisses.

Micah is survived by his parents, Reggie and Sophia (Hower) Nimmer, grandparents: Ken and Tammy Hower, Paul and Brenda Nimmer; aunts and uncles: Ken Hower, Josie Hower, Katelyn Hower, Cody and Karlee (Nimmer) Horlacher; along with his cousins: William, Hollie, Henry, and Dorothy Horlacher.
