Nancy Kay Keirns

Millfield - Nancy Kay Keirns, 87, of Millfield, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at her residence.

Born August 8, 1937, in Athens County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Luella Morgan Moody. Nancy graduated from Chauncey-Dover High School. She was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed raising her family, canning the annual harvest from their garden, crocheting and checking on the donkeys every morning.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph Keirns; two sons, Keiven “Joe” Keirns and Tim (Sherry) Keirns; one daughter, Tammy (Dave) Russell; five grandchildren, Ben, Brandy, Nick, Jason and Chloe; five great grandchildren, Riley, Cort, Addy, Amerie and Shaylee and one sister, Penny (John) Seaman.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Cooksey and Joy McGee.

Visitation will be held from 6:00PM-9:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Hughes Funeral Home in Athens. Interment will be at the Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield at a later date.
