Patty Ann Love

Patty Ann Love 86, of Athens passed away at home on Saturday May 13, 2023. She was born to Parents Harley and Mary Bobo on Feb 4, 1937.

Patty and her siblings grew up in Guysville, where they had a dairy farm. She was a graduate of Shade High School, homemaker, avid gardener who loved flowers and plants and had an extraordinary green thumb. She loved being outdoors, watching bluebirds and hummingbirds. She was a talented artist. Her most favorite role was being a mother and especially a grandmother. She was married to William Love, Sr in 1956. They were married for 63 1/2 years when he passed in April 2020. They spent a year living in Germany while William served in the US Army when they were young, which she enjoyed. Patty, her son William Love Jr, and grandson Chris Love were inducted into the Athens County First Families at the Ohio Historical Society. She enjoyed working on Genealogy.

Patty is survived by her grandson, Chris Love; daughter-in-law, Christi Love both of Athens; brother, Stephen (Myong) Bobo of Vacaville, California; sister-in-law, Rose Ann Bobo of McArthur; brother, Vernon (Juanita) Bobo of McArthur; sister, Linda (John) Ward also of McArthur; brother, Harley Bobo, Jr. of California; sister-in-law, Dale Perkins of Rapid City S.D; cousins including Carl “Bob” Bobo who spent summers on the farm in Guysville with Patty and her siblings; and several nieces and nephews. 

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Love, Sr. (2020); her only son, William Love, Jr (2015); her brother, Donald Bobo; her brother, Richard ; sister-in-law, Olive "Mandy" Jones; nieces, Jeanna Bobo and Mary Yocum.

Patty's wishes were to be cremated and have no services at this time.
