Richard Brand

GUYSVILLE-- Richard Brand, 74, of Guysville, OH, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 20, 1951, in Zanesville, OH, son of the late James Ralph and Daisy Abrams Brand. He worked for Big Bear in Columbus and Athens and Kroger in Athens with 28 years of service and was a bus driver for Alexander School District with 17 years of service. Richard attended South Canaan Baptist Church.

Richard is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marlene Tedrick Brand; son, Matthew Brand; daughter, Tina (Hugues) Pineault; grandson, Dominic Gibson; granddaughter, Nadine Pineault; sister, Shirley Duhamel and a sister-in-law, Roxie Brand.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Brand; sister and brother-in-law, Grace Ann and Gene Clapper and a brother-in-law, Floyd Duhamel.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Monte McCune officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Concord, OH.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday one hour prior to the service.
