Richard E. Swain

REEDSVILLE – Richard E. Swain, 82, of Reedsville, OH, passed away on Tuesday May 26, 2026, at the Willows Center in Parkersburg, WV.

Born on July 4, 1943, in Reedsville, OH, he was the son of the late Delmar Jake and Edith (Baker) Swain. Richard was a graduate of Eastern High School, and he worked as an equipment operator for Dravo Sand and Gravel. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved drinking RC pop.

Richard is survived by two sons, Carl Swain and Randy Vandale; a daughter, Georginia “Muffy” (Allan) Parsons; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence, Merle, and Ronald Swain.

Visitation will be held from 4pm-6pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH. There will be no funeral service held.
