Coolville

COOLVILLE-- Robin Mae Wolfe, born on July 14, 1957, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, music, and strength.

Robin was the beloved wife of Benny Ray Wolfe, who affectionately referred to her as "sweetheart." They met at the river levy in Pomeroy, Ohio, in 1974 and have been soulmates ever since. Robin and Benny just celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 8th, dancing with one another, singing and playing music, visiting with friends and family, and even feeding each other cake. Their favorite date night activity was driving the four-wheelers to the top of their property and sitting next to a campfire with a cold beverage.

Robin had a family bigger than we can count, for she and Benny gave of their talents, time, and resources to anyone in need. Robin was the devoted mother of Shawna Ann Wolfe (partner Chris Ament), Michael Ray Wolfe (wife Misty Wolfe), Angela Mae Wolfe (special friend Randy Collins), Cristy Dawn Shepherd (husband Shawn Shepherd), and Misty Kay Ratliff (husband Todd Ratliff). Additionally, she considered her nieces Carrie Saunders (husband Brandon) and Jennifer Poole (husband James) as "daughters." A cherished grandmother to eleven grandchildren, Taylor Bolin, Benjamin Wolfe, Parker Bolin, Brayden Mattson, Kennedy Ratliff, Kate Ratliff, Allie Wolfe, Adalynn Collins, Truman Shepherd, Charli Shepherd and great-grandmother to three, Ellianna Bolin, Hadley Bolin, Bristol Mattson. Robin enjoyed each of them and especially loved the entire family coming together for holiday dinners she had cooked all day. The grandchildren’s favorite was her baked macaroni and cheese. Robin loved and cherished all of her many nephews and nieces and all friends who thought of her as family.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beatrice Kuhn, her sisters Karla Blackburn and Janelle Kaylor, her brother David Kuhn, and her grandson Kenneth Tyler Wolfe (passed in 1997).

A talented musician, Robin was a rocker on the keys and bass guitar, and especially admired for her beautiful harmony vocals. She was a woman of many talents and a foreman to her husband and others in any business venture. She put her heart into all her work and play throughout her life, whether that was gardening, sourcing parts for many projects, caring for her chickens, cows, and dogs, or trying new recipes for someone to enjoy. Robin was a giver to all and always put the needs of others in front of her own, and this was her pride and joy and one of her many great qualities.

Robin shared these words as she was saying goodbye to her children and husband: “Be true to who each of you are and love each other.” Robin's spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. Those who knew her will always remember her beautiful smile and the joy she brought into their lives. She will be sadly missed and cherished.
