Sally Welsh

Pomeroy - Mary “Sally” Welsh, 85, of Pomeroy, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born January 21, 1941, in Widen, WV, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Harry Payne and Freda Halcomb Payne Carsey (Joseph Carsey). Sally was a 1959 graduate of Harrisonville High School. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother who was always there for her loved ones.

She is survived by three children, Rob (Sherrie) Welsh, Nancy (Bill) Vanderhoff and Jim (Diana) Welsh; twelve grandchildren, Jamie, Vanekia, Beth, Travis, Tammi, Jason, Maddy, Angel, Ernie, Kacie, Samantha and Max; several great grandchildren, one sister, Cathy (Bruce) Conde; a special friend David Quigley and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jr., James and Wayne and two sisters, Judy and Polly.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the Wells Cemetery.
