Teresa Herron

ATHENS—Teresa D. Herron, 59, of Athens, OH, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2026, at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.

She was born April 9, 1967, in Cleveland, OH, daughter of the late Gerald C. and Judith Chesser Herron. Teresa was a 1985 graduate of Athens High School and a 2016 graduate of Hocking College.

She is survived by a son, Garrett and Sophie Mather-Smith; granddaughter, Eden Mather-Smith; brother, Lonnie Herron and best friend, Deanna Flanders.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Herron and Joe Herron.

At Teresa’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home in Athens, OH.
