Timothy Murphy

COOLVILLE—Timothy “Tim” Murphy, 68, of Coolville, OH, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Chillicothe VA Hospital.

He was born on March 16, 1958, in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late William Lee “Bill” and Ella Mae Sprouse Murphy. Tim was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Chelisa Murphy; 2 sons, Josh Murphy and Charlie Murphy; grandson, Jonah Murphy; a sister, Deborah Trudo; 4 brothers, Mike (Debbie) Murphy, Ronald Murphy, John (Bobbi) Murphy and Jim (Kay) Lyons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Murphy; 2 brothers, Ed Lyons and Larry Lyons.

Military graveside services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Torch Cemetery in Torch, OH.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from noon until 1:00 P.M. at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
